The One UI 3.0 update is now available for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. One UI 3.0 is Samsung’s own Android ‘shell’ and based on Android 11, the latest version of the mobile operating system. Users will automatically be notified when the update is available.
Even without notification, you can already check the availability of the update. Via the settings menu you can check under the ‘Software’ tab whether Android 11 is already ready for your Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Is the update ready? Then make a backup of your smartphone in advance. In the unlikely event that the update should go wrong, you will not lose any personal information. Also prevent your device from failing during the update and put your Samsung on the charger. It is also wise to download the Android 11 update via WiFi, because the installation file is quite large.
This is new in One UI 3.0
One UI 3.0, Samsung’s own Android skin, is the latest version of the operating system. Many applications have been given a makeover in terms of design with the update, the camera app has been given some functions and the voice assistant Bixby is just a bit smarter.
One UI 3.0 also introduces all-new features, including ‘Double tap to sleep’. With this option you can, as you would expect based on the name, automatically lock the device with a double tap on the screen. Would you like to know more about the major software update?
