Recommendations based on viewing behavior

The Chromecast with Google TV links streaming services such as Netflix and Disney + to the viewing behavior of the viewer. This ensures less headaches when looking for a good movie or series.

However, for horror enthusiasts with children, the function is a nightmare, as different user profiles cannot be created. This means that the recommended content is tailored to one person. Thanks to a new update, which will probably be rolled out next month, this has been discovered Android Authority.

The update will make it possible to create protected child profiles within Google TV, so that children only have access to preset apps. YouTube Kids will also be accessible by default. To exit Child Mode, you must enter a PIN.

What about multiple user profiles in Google TV?

While the advent of child profiles is a step in the right direction, it is still not possible to set up Google TV for different adult users. It is not known whether this will change in the future.

This is not (yet) a great loss for Dutch users. Because the Chromecast with Google TV is not officially available in the Netherlands, not all functions are available. For example, Google TV in the Netherlands cannot yet link suggestions to the viewing behavior of the user.
