Oppo Find X3 Pro can be seen on new renders
The reliable telecom journalist Evan Blass has put renders online of the Oppo Find X3 Pro. As a result, we now have a good idea of what the high-end smartphone will look like. The most striking part of the design is the camera island. That is very similar to the copy on the iPhone 12 Pro. We see three large lenses, one smaller and the flash. The island also has soft slopes, so that it protrudes gracefully from the housing.
Blass previously released details about the specifications of the Oppo Find X3 Pro. As a result, we already knew that both the primary camera and the ultra-wide-angle lens will probably get a resolution of 50 megapixels. There is also a 13 megapixel telecamera with which you can zoom in.
The small lens on the Find X3 Pro is the most unique. It is a 3 megapixel macro camera with ‘microscope function’. It can enlarge objects as much as 25 times. In addition, the lens would be surrounded by LEDs that should ensure the correct exposure in every situation.
Fast processor and excellent screen
The Oppo Find X3 Pro also has a lot more to offer under the hood. According to Blass, the smartphone runs on the new and super-fast Snapdragon 888 processor. The battery has a capacity of 4500 mAh. You can charge it with 65 Watt, so that the battery is full again in no time. If you prefer to power your smartphone wirelessly, the speed is limited to 30 watts.
In addition, the device would get a 6.7-inch screen with curved edges. The resolution is very high at 3216 by 1440 pixels and the display can also display no less than 1 billion colors. Most smartphones are stuck at 16 million. The screen would also have a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120Hz. As you scroll through your social media, the display will refresh 120 times per second, making the image look very smooth.
Release in March or April
According to Blass, Oppo will release the Find X3 Pro in late March or early April. Its predecessor, the Oppo Find X2 Pro, also appeared in March last year. You can read what we thought of that device in our review of the Oppo Find X2 Pro. Finally, Oppo itself has also posted a short teaser on Weibo about an upcoming launch in March. Everything therefore indicates that we will then see the new flagship.
It promises to be busy months in Android land. On January 14, Samsung will present the Galaxy S21 series. We expect the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, just like the Oppo Find X3 Pro, in March or April.
