Thanks to a reliable source we are again a bit wiser about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3 from Samsung. A website claims to have concrete information about the two foldable telephones.
Read on after the ad.
First details Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3
The first piece of concrete information from Sammobile includes the implementation of the Snapdragon 888-soc from Qualcomm. Although it has not yet been officially confirmed, the website dares to predict with certainty the application of the chipset. The presence of the high-end processor is, according to Sammobile, almost guaranteed given the expected (higher) price segment of the Galaxy Z series
The website also says that the premium Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G comes standard with 256GB of storage space. The Fold 3 is thus equal to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. The smaller Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to be supplied with 128GB of storage. In addition, Sammobile says that Samsung is also working on a more expensive model with 256GB.
Finally, the source expects Samsung to ship both the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 directly with Android 11 and the upcoming One UI 3.5 software. One UI is Samsung’s own Android skin. At the moment One UI 3.0 is the latest version of the operating system.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 gets a selfie camera under the screen
In addition to the presumed specifications from Sammobile, the rumor is also circulating that the South Korean manufacturer is equipping the Galaxy Z Fold 3 with a selfie camera under the screen. ETNews reports that Samsung is working on the application of a so-called under-display camera (UDC). There has also been some talk in the rumor circuit about the arrival of a Lite variant of the Galaxy Z Fold. This device gets less powerful hardware, but therefore also has a lower price tag.
Announcement date Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 are expected to be announced at the end of June or July, after which the release should follow soon. The launch of the third generation of folding phones is a month earlier than usual.
